Rorey Maier

Rorey Maier, a South Dakota Native, is a Relationship Manager at our Terrell location. Rorey attended Vernon College in Vernon, Texas on a rodeo scholarship, where he earned a degree in Farm and Ranch Management. After college, he began his full-time professional rodeo career as a bull rider. He spent 13 years traveling the rodeo circuit, and in 2016, he achieved his lifelong dream of qualifying for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. In April 2024, Rorey was given the opportunity to start his career in ag lending with Legacy – a role that perfectly aligned with his passion for both agriculture and helping others achieve their dreams. Rorey and his wife, Megan, had a great experience with Legacy when they secured a land loan in 2019, which gave him a firsthand understanding of the life-changing benefits of land ownership. This experience fuels his desire to help others in the agricultural community achieve the same success. Rorey finds that the best part of his job is the people he works with, whether it's those already in agriculture or those looking to transition to a rural lifestyle, and he is proud to be a part of their journey. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and embracing the outdoors with his family.
