Legacy Ag Credit Awards 25,000 In Scholarships to Local Students

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas – Legacy Ag Credit awarded college scholarships to nine Northeast Texas high school seniors who excelled in academics and agriculture. The rural financing cooperative awarded one $5,000 scholarship and eight $2,500 scholarships.
 

All of the scholarship winners live in Legacy’s 10-county territory.

 

“Legacy Ag Credit is proud to support the next generation of ag leaders, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for them,” said Derrell Chapman, the co-op’s chief executive officer.

Legacy Ag Credit is a borrower-owned lending co-op that finances agriculture, rural real estate, country homes, young, beginning, small farmsand agribusiness. It is headquartered in Sulphur Springs and has branch offices in Canton, Gilmer, Kaufman, Longview and Sulphur Springs. Legacy is a part of the nationwide Farm Credit System.
